My name is Carson Pavia and I’m the owner and creator of Symmetric Marketing. I started this business because I believe in the importance of the construction and maintenance industry. Contractors and handyman are essential for running a productive society. My #1 goal is to craft a marketing plan that will get your business the results that it deserves.

My thoughts on Digital Marketing

Before I knew how to design websites or run digital marketing campaigns, I knew quite literally nothing about the subject. Terms like “search engine optimization” or “social media marketing” sounded like topics that were exclusive to professionals with decades of practice. For a long time, I was scared and unsure of myself due to a significant lack of experience. How could I compete with these people who had dedicated years to this craft? And what were the secrets to a successful digital marketing agency?

After investing thousands of hours of time and research into the world of digital marketing, I’ve come to a few conclusions. Firstly, having decades of experience is great, but it is not necessary. What really matters is your ability to produce results. If I say that I’m going to generate leads through Google Ads or SEO, then I should be able to make that happen. If not, then I have failed my number one goal, which is getting your business results. While I do believe that experience is important, if results are not produced then it’s all for naught. 

Secondly, never underestimate the power of niche marketing. Niche marketing is a service for a specific industry, location, demographic etc. I have a family friend who owns a marketing agency and he only targets clients within his city. He has built a massive network which has made him very successful. My niche is targeted to the construction and maintenance industry. My target audience includes contractors, handyman and business owners in related fields. The reason that this is so important is because by targeting this niche I have become an industry specialist. All of my research, data, and content is related to this industry, which gives my marketing campaigns an edge over someone who takes on every type of client.  

I want to conclude by pointing out that digital marketing is still a relatively new concept. No one is really a “master” because there’s not enough historical data to make that claim. Do not be fooled by people telling you that they know everything about digital marketing, because that would be impossible. Everyday I learn something new which challenges my previous beliefs, and that’s exactly what makes this industry so exciting.
